I'm getting interested in grandpa guitars again. as a matter of fact, I think I'm about to slang a couple of electrics to buy a used Collings D1 at my local music emporium. whatcha got?

I don't play it much and the picture's not very good, but here's mine:

Mid-90s Takimine Santa Fe. I've got it tuned down to C right now (great for acoustics btw), but it needs some setup work and bigger strings to be stable and more playable like that. I kind of like the slack strings, but there are too many dead spots to really work.

It was my dad's guitar and has more sentimental value to me than anything else I own. Literally the only thing I couldn't ever even think about selling or getting rid of.

I played classical guitar ... haven't played much in years though. This is mine. Custom Bouchet build with an extra high C (I was really into Augustin Barrios ... John Williams glues a matchstick to his fretboard to play those) by Henner Hagenlocher in Granada, Spain.
German spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, French polish. Awesome little guitar. I should really start playing again...

I love Bream's Spanish stuff, but I've never heard Barrios.
Recommend a recording?
I'm familiar with his recordings of Albeniz, Granados, and Rodrigo, mainly.

and I sold my Danocaster today, so I'm guessing I'll go pick up the Collings next Thursday.
I've been super into John Fahey and all the Takoma school stuff, and more recent stuff like Jack Rose, Glenn Jones, Cian Nugent, Sir Richard Bishop, etc. etc.
and I've loved stuff like Charley Patton, Bukka White, Mississippi John Hurt for years.
Think I might even order a nice set of fingerpicks today! (although I'm not sure if I want to do that or get some fake nails at my local salon.)

Wish I had pics of my two acoustics, all neither of them is special to anyone but me.
I have two Washburns - one dread I've had for 20+ years that I learned on that I have beat to shit that I would never, ever get rid of,
and the other is a little OM-type thing I got 4 or 5 years ago when I realized I'd sort of killed the dread - that thing was never meant to be played so long.

That's an old Kent WC-28, which is worth more than the guitar I think Lofi, microphonic, really great ...

1968 Gibson B-25: I love this guitar, was my great great uncles, then my grandfather's now mine. It is the deepest, fullest sounding acoustic I have ever played. It was released as a small scale beginner guitar, so it is sort of a mustang of acoustics, it's sooooo cozy to play. Out of all my guitar this is by far the most sentimental AND overall best sounding. Not to mention it has 3 rattle snake rattlers in it, my great great uncle swore they gave it a better tone, it the most kick ass thing ever imo.

Actually though I LOVE hondo acoustics.. mine needs a neck reset and the bracing is lose.. [when I got it there were foxtails in it..] still it sounds amazing.. I really want another to make in to a trez like thing...
