7 string and extended/baritone guitars

Post by Ratking85 »

Any of you out there? What are your setups like? What fuzzes or effects are you using?

I using a Esp LTD Viper with EMGs with 18v mod. I run that through a Tube screamer and vitage rat into a Laney Gh100l into a Engl Vintage cab.

Soooooo much gainnnnn

I converted my Jazzmaster to a baritone. Stock SD Jazz pickups, Big Muff and Monarch with clean boost at the end stacked into a Peavey Rock Master and 1x12 bass cab. Reminds me that I need to take a decent picture of it... Waiting on a Mastery Bridge for it

Looks incredible!
@skullservant I got to play a rockmaster when I was playing out east. I love the mid boost! There's one on craiglist here in LA for 300 dollar that I'm trying to jump on. What type of tube are you running in it?

I know! I have been a laney fan for a long time! The gh100l is a tone monster just like the rockmaster but I think 300 is to hard to pass up!

i really want to slap a bari neck on my strat and tune it to A, and then either use p90s or go back to using my regular strat pickups.

Warmoth's necks after tuners are only about $200, which, compared to most baritone prices aren't anything

You can get EGC to make you one, but I've heard they start somewhere around $800. Might as well just take the plunge at that point. Still kicking myself for not buying the Kramer parts body and neck I found on ebay for $250 a few months ago.

My first "real" guitar was an Ibanez 7.

I've been eyeing 8s and 9s for years. Eventually I'll make the jump and pick one up, but it probably won't be fora while. :c
