They call those things "cigar box guitars".

They do make real tenor resonators though.

Ah, well, that I can't really help you with.

Started out as a DIY thing, but Sir Paul's does look professionally done.

Yeah cigar box guitars have always seemed about 55% cool 45% gimmick to me. :idk:

kurt schoen out of washington makes the more interesting cigar box resonators.
his are much more like instruments and less a shitty little box with strings.
he leads the pack for sure.

Yeah, I have no real interest in 'em.

There're lots of other instruments I'd rather have. Like a real tenor resonator, for instance.
