Had Stone's Vertical Epic 12/12/12 the other night. Damn good but kinda pricey.

Got few social gatherings coming up (at my school, with my friends, it's hardly a party  ) and I'm stocked.

Some leftover New Belgium Abbeys, a few Bell's Christmas Ales and some Stone Old Guardian. That OG gets me drunk so fast.

And you post a picture of it sideways, apparently.

This looks delicious, then again everything from Dieu du Ciel is. Peche Mortel has finally made an appearance around these parts :thumb:

Gotta love Winter for all of the stouts and porters.

On a related tangent, has anyone looked into getting some Westvleteren 12, since they've opened up US orders? I'm assuming it all got snapped up immediately, but figured I'd ask...

Get better man! Yeah, unfortunately Westie sold out of every location in like 10 minutes. It was ridonkulous. 85 bucks for a six-pack, and people were lined up around blocks.

Thanks, man! The cold seems to be passing, which is good on many levels, not least because I gathered some beers for the holiday. Nothing too crazy - some BBCs, and a Brooklyn 1, a Brother Thelonius, and a Duvel. Just enough to get through in style...

Too bad about the Westie - I figured if anyone around here would be able to get some, it would be you... my liquor store owning friends just laughed when I asked if they had looked into stocking any...

How my Christmas is.

Yes, I've bought some IPAs - deal with it. We haven't got enough of them here so I want to be able to bitch about them like you guys.

This is really taking the cake for me though.

OHMYGAWD!!!!!! My beer store has Founder's Breakfast Stout back in stock! Needless to say, I picked up a four-pack, along with a Berkshire Brewing Coffeehouse Porter and Steel Rail Pale Ale. Oh, and a couple of cans from a new local brewery - one Golden American Ale and one Robust Porter. Gotta stock up for the snow storm!

Just had my first Breakfast Stout in months. Just slightly colder than room temperature. And it was SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS!

New Belgium's spring seasonal, Dig, is most excellent. If you like their Ranger IPA this has a similar, albeit a bit more balanced, hop flavor.

I know that Saranac makes one, but I haven't tried it. The only one I've tried is Sam Adam's Tasman Red, which was one of their special brews that they only sell in the bombers. It was pretty damn delicious, but it was heavier on the red than on the IPA side of things. (which was just fine by me, since I'm not much of an IPA guy)

Dude I'm so happy to see Bell's and Founders represented outside of Michigan! They're two of my favourite breweries, and they really deserve the recognition. Make sure you look for Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout... it's rare and pricey, but comes out around this time every year. Hopefully we haven't missed it.

And yeah, I feel like a hypocrite now, but I'm not drinking a MI beer tonight. Going with my all-time comfort beer:

...except I poured it better than this asshole^^^!!! Geez dude! Any beer in there?

I had an Innis and Gunn. aged in a whisky cask for 77 days. pretty good. kinda boozy but smooth. strong alcohol taste but was nice.

Im not a huge fan of fin du monde for some reason. Maybe i should pour it with 75 percent head like that guy does, secret flavor enhancing technique haha

I find that the bigger bottle with the cork (sniff sniff) tastes better than the little ones with yer basic bottlecap. Probably not TOO big of a deal, but I can taste the difference.

There's a bit of nostalgia there, too. La Fin was the first, like, BIG beer that I ever really loved, so not only does it taste awesome every time I drink it, but it's a fond reminder of one of the beers that got me into BEER.
