I used to have a Jerry Jones sitar with sympathetic strings, but ditched it. When I wanted that kind of sound I'd always reach for my beater with a Jawari bridge (and no sympathetic strings). Not that I didn't appreciate the sympathetic strings, but the beater played better and was more fun to play. :idk:

It's not actually a beater (and/or all my instruments are beaters), it's a Kay Galaxie that's had it's headstock snapped off and was then modified and a Jawari bridge installed. It currently has an old DiMarzio humbucker in it, but I'm looking for something else eventually. Other than the pickup, I love it.
