Was outside the liquor store this morning right before they opened.

one of the saddest things i ever saw was when the Walgreens on Polk Street in SF opened up at 8AM on Sunday...i needed to get a pack of cigarettes, and there was an old homeless guy who entered the store with me and purchased a bottle of Scope mouthwash. he hurried to the counter before me and as i walked out fiddling with my Camel Lights i saw him open the bottle and chug it as if he was pounding a beer. i actually wished i had a real beer to give him.

yep...it's often 10% or more ethyl alcohol. of course, you'd have to find a brand that didn't make you puke. Listerine or DTs? not a pleasant choice.
