Native Instruments Reaktor $99 Sale

Post by MannequinRaces »

Native Instruments Reaktor 5 is on sale for $99 through June 20th. I picked it up along with some other things that are 50% off like Skanner XT and Razor. At $99 it's a no brainer. This is the 1st NI product I have ever bought, pretty excited!

awesome! they have some nice stuff for sure. most of my experience has been thru maschine, but they give u some free reaktor/kontakt synths to play with. i like reaktor more than kontakt. the little wavetable synth they gave me is amazing

its cool how all their products are easily integrated with each other (but that also can suck u into their grips).

Yeah, they have a good marketing department. I noticed that they have a lot of stripped down versions of software that's free to get people to try and then hopefully upgrade to the flagship product. Nothing wrong with that though, Apple does it with GarageBand, Propellerlead does it with Reason Limited, and on and on. Actually the master of this technique is the dude who started Gillette razors... you buy the cheap razor but have to pay out the nose for more blades, same thing with cheap printers and expensive ink!

What version of Logic are you running?

Definitely. I'm enjoying taking a break from Reason to play around with it. Actually Reaktor compliments Reason very well.

If you're on Logic or just on Mac OS, check out Mainstage 2 for $40 all the time. Butt load of plugs and samples, plus looper and live playback host/engine for the cheapz. Not a substitute for what Reaktor does at all, but if you just want a different palate of ready and easy sounds, it's appealing.

I'll look into it. Thanks! I have an older version of Logic Express 7 and have mostly been using Reason since v4. Just upgraded to R7 awhile ago and it's awesome.
