For the last week I've been using packing tape as a screen protector for my phone because I'm too lazy/cheap to buy a real screen protector.

My back still feels weird from that spinal tap I did a week ago. Like I'm sore at my very core. Literally. It's strange.

theres a gig i really want to go to on saturday
with one of my favourite songwriters (who i also saw on sunday) and a bunch of other bands that i dont really know but like the sounds of from the couple of songs i have heard of each

its about 3 hours travel there and back for me
and none of my friends want to go
the place its at is super nice (blackwire records) but i am always super intimidated by people there, like im sure that they are nice, but they are old and cool and i am 17 and lame and have major social anxiety
but i kind of want to go

adivce?

StereoTomic?
I'm thinking about going to that, Stockades are awesome.
I hear you though, I only know a handful of people that are into most of the stuff I am so I end up going places alone or missing out altogether a fair bit.
My advice is to go if you know you'll regret not going, don't be held back by social anxiety!

when the question is "go to the show or not?" the answer is ALWAYS "go if you can." i've been to shows where i thought i'd be utterly alone and miserable and wound up partying, talking, and otherwise interacting with the people around me. and even if you don't get chatty with your co-audients, there'll be the music, and those notes produced will never occur again. i've never said "geez, i've seen way too much live music," but rather "i sure wish i'd seen <name of artist HERE>." i could string out a list all day of people i never got to see who i regret missing. so go already.
