well, now i'm in deep shit. my cousin, who i've been staying with, can be a really domineering asshole. he got in my face today for the third time in threedays, i'd had enough, and so i called the sheriffs. so now he wants me out sooner rather than later. and i'm equally desperate to get out...i've come to despise him for his obnoxious and ignorant ways and his tendency to go postal over minor issues. but now i have to find somewhere to live with no money or job. i wish Hangar 18 was still there...i could sleep on the floor.

I think I mentioned this on here before, but I work as a crisis counselor and do suicide prevention via the phone.

I just had a fucking prank call, and even though I was able to tell it was a prank really quickly, hearing "I just swallowed a whole bunch of medicine" when I pick up the phone is scary as shit. I can still feel it in my stomach. I could hear fuckers in the background laughing and the caller played dumb like they didn't know what I was talking about, they weren't upset or despondent or anything. Ugh. Stupid assholes.

that really, really sucks.

i didn't even MENTION the auto accident i was in today, where i backed the enormous/lifted Suburban into a car behind me who was sitting right on my bumper, utterly invisible. the only way i avoided deep shit was that when we went to the cop shop to fill out a report since i don't have insurance, the cop informed the collide-ee that since HE didn't have insurance EITHER, if we filed a report each of us would get a $400 ticket. homey didn't want the ticket, so we split.

after that i STILL had to go to the local DMV to get a state ID, without which i cannot get medical carte from the county hospital. another joyous hour with the bureaucracy, and another official picture of me with wattles under my chin and that heartbroken look on my face.

and i was SO happy when the majority of my posts were no longer in this thread. fucking phooey.

This is true though. I had similar thoughts about not being evolved enough to become unattached about 10 years ago. It just takes work and time

I just don't dig the whole "Go live in the natural worlds and you'll magically become better" Thoreau kind of thing. People being out of contact from other people seems more unhealthy in the long run no matter how much you (in the general sense) Travis Bickle at me. I thrive in the filth and dischord of society, gives me something to cling to y'know.
