Kickstarter: The Liberator Fuzz - "36 fuzzes in one"

Post by khaavren »

Note: I have no relation to this Kickstarter I simply found it by searching "pedal" on Kickstarter

THE LIBERATOR FUZZ

We have put the tone back in your hands. The Liberator Fuzz has 6 popular transistor options for the first gain stage (Q1) and 6 popular transistor options for the second gain stage (Q2). Rotary switches are used in each section to select which transistors are used together. It’s essentially 36 Fuzzes in 1 box!

We have also included 3 input and 3 output capacitors that can be controlled via SPDT switches for further tone and bass tweaking.

Thoughts?
Is this a good idea to back or is it just 'another' fuzz?

Meh... I had a fuzz with a 3PDT of different transistors. It was cool, and gave different textures. But they we're to subtle to call it "12 different fuzzes".

Ok... Listened to it. And it sounds cool! But still, that's no more 32 shades of fuzz than any other tweakable fuzz

quite stark pledge options - either get a sticker for $10, or the pedal for $200
might as just sell them for 200 and take pre-orders, no?
i guess that kickstarter is as much about publicity as the funding

sticker :joy:

the pedal looks quite fun with all the options

If you do it right, a kickstarter should be pretty much exactly like a preorder.

The recording does sound pretty good. Makes me want to build a fuzz face now...

Yea, they are totally selling themselves short. With the 36 transistors combo options, 9 cap combos, and the compression on/off. That's like 100 in 1!
