I was mostly kidding about the onboard effects. I mean, I want most any and all Dwarfcraftage, so if the guitar happened to come pre-loaded, that's great, but I'd really just rather have a totally awesome guitar. I've got plenty of pedals on the floor as it is (and constant plans for more).

Yeah. Totally awesome guitar is what I would want. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a certain fuzz or other effect that I may not be into cluttering up the surface of the guitar with knobs and switches. I think it is a cool idea as an option if somebody wants that. If anything I like the idea of simplicity. A couple of knobs or even one. options for one pickup at either the neck or bridge. Options for two or three or even four pickups if you wanted them.

I think something I would really like would be a semi-hollowbody short scale mustangish/Stratotoneish guitar with a single P-90 style pickup in the neck position, hardtail, and an absolutely huge neck. One knob for volume. Maybe a knob for tone.

Lots of options for finishes. Everything from totally bare bones to elaborate.

I'd like something that is solid as a rock, extremely simple, and not wildly expensive.

yes! :thumb: i agree with both of you!

i am always looking for guitars and or basses. i would prefer to keep the pedals separate so i can have more options to play with. the idea of a guitar like the one that was leaked seemed interesting, and i am very anxious to see what you will have to offer.

if the "secret" becomes available jrmy and i have some business to take care of!

Hey Robert! What happened to the long hair and stash?

I'm very excited for this guitar business. I know you said no Tele's, but what about one like Aen's squire, but with Jag tremz?

that was the first guitar i made completely from scratch and its sort of a launching point. aen really likes this guitar and every time i visit it gets some good play time from him.
here are the specs on this guitar.
i think i made it in late 05 or 06 or something, i can't remember.
body- primavera(white mohag) center, curly maple top, flame maple back, two tone thin skin styled burst.
neck- dual truss rod, tele heal, strat headstock, naked fretboard, black side dots, all maple, vintage fretwire, 7.25 radius, brass nut gibby style, about 16 coats of lacquer, still nice and shiny, but aging well so far and soaking in the thousands of ciggarettes i smoke into it creating a nice natural amber tint.
it has a decal on the headstock now, but its chipped and falling apart(awsome...)
the neck pup is a mightmite p-90(great fucking pickup!)
and the bridge is a gfs p-90(not so great)
250K pots, normal tele wiring but with a three way toggle.
the trem is AVRI issue, and the bridge is an allparts mustang bridge.
the jack is actually a strat jack on the side of the body instead of the electro socket or the football that you see most of the time.
the only things i didn't make were the pots, the tuners, the pickups, bridge, and trem. everything else was done while i was at school in stl.
i should also mention that altho i love shortscale neck and the thin feeling of my jagstang and duo's necks i made this a 25.5 scale and the neck is rather "full" it actually felt just like my friends mid 70's telecaster dlx. it was made with downtuning in mind, and works PERFECTLY in baritone tuning.
currently it has 12's on it tho and its tuned to standard.

YES! Except maybe more like a tele deluxe. That looks awesome though, as does the THUNDERCATZ, good show.

What is the story on the Thundercatz guitar. I have heard people mention it but know nothing about it. Can anyone fill me in.

Robert made it for Aen, and it's awesome.

Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet but is it a baritone guitar? Looks like it might be a bit longer scale than usual.

ok so, first first.
i cut my hair when it is over 13inchs to donate to locks of love, or cuts above.
either way, as long as my hair grows then children in need will have something. i suggest you all do the same. i takes about 17 months for me to get a good amount of hair for a wig. its all worth it tho.
the thundercats was made from a 96 jap jaguar body, i made a cream guard for it, put a 3rd pup in it, moved the bridge on the top of the trem plate.
took a brono bass neck, filled the holes, re-drilled them, refinished it and re-routed the neck heal to fit the body.
so... i really didn't make it as much as i just kinda assembled it and modified existing parts.
