i got laid off on friday from my job due to "company shrinkage". filed for unemployment today. the online benefits estimator informed me that i should qualify for a whopping $128/week. what the fuck? i've been working an $18/hour full time construction job and i only qualify for $128? how is that even supposed to be remotely helpful? i thought the point of unemployment insurance was to make sure you weren't completely screwed if something like this happens, but apparently the purpose is just to mock you when you're down.

Therapy went well, but I'm still in a paint it black sort of mood.

If I knew my family would be financially solvent without me, I would kill myself.

You've been trying really hard, bro. Keep trying. They need you for so much more than your money.

So as I was getting ready for work I realized I had absolutely no clean clothes except for running shorts and a cut up tee that I use for the gym. Today was the last day for our high school interns and I think it could be analogous to every girl's first time seeing David Bowie in The Labyrinth.

I got sent home early.

That feel when you realize you sharted a little bit, like an hour or so after the fact. Thank jimmy I decided to shower or I wouldn't have noticed until getting into bed. THAT FEEL

So a while back I got sick of not ever, anywhere, being able to find someone to learn to tattoo from. So my good friend, who has done most of my work, sends me a pair of machines. What an awesome dude. I spend a whoole bunch of money on acquiring all the other parts, getting everything I could possibly think of so I could just try tattooing myself. Well, it didn't come out like something you'd see on one of those "worst tattoo" websites, but I'm already thinking about getting someone to cover it up. I should've tattooed grapefruits first, dammit.!!!!! :mope:

At least it's high up on one of my thighs so no one will see it.

I don't even have a girlfriend who'd see it ! :erm: :mope:

There are two types of irritating behavior concerning gear discussions that have pushed me to leave other online communities. The first is the completely unnecessary chiming in. If you see a post about something you don't use, why comment to say so? If people are talking about preferred tremolo systems, don't come in and say "I think tremolos are pointless." If the topic is "What is your favorite effect?" it is almost assured that at least one person will pop their head in to say they go straight from their guitar to the amp like that is an achievement. When the conversation is not in your wheelhouse, stay out of it instead of using it as a chance to feel better about yourself.

Number two is the cheapskate populism. If you can't afford better or don't care to buy better, that's fine. When someone who would never buy a Boss VB-2 rants about how a Behringer is exactly the same thing, I'm filled with rage. I think it is safe to say there is value to be had in some cheap stuff, it gets taken too far by some.

I think a lot of it is narcissism and jealousy. I don't know if there is an emotion I understand less than jealousy. I'm sleep deprived and ranting.
