That'd be a pretty rad road trip.
2 day drive to the grampians from bris?

Edit: hmmm, google maps says 22hrs, 2030km. Not outside the realm of possibility...

Like I said your more than welcome. And that offer stands for all the fuzz & doom lovers, foreign and domestic. Plenty of space to camp.

Dude, you are a fucking legend.
Maybe one day when the missus and I can line up some free time we might make it happen. I've not seen your part of the world and the invitation to camp there is just a great excuse to take the kids out and see the country.

Fuck.

It finally happened.

Most likely. That or tortise shell. I can't find any replacements online though. Warmoth doesn't fit and everywhere else has cutouts for the Jazzmaster pickups.

samzadgan wrote:
Thats a nice score man, i love the black block inlays...are those short scale or 25"? I'd leave the mother of pearl pickgaurd too...what are the pickups like?

Yeah, the block inlays are what attracted me to it at first. The neck is really nice. 25" scale. The pickups aren't all that. kinda muddy. I adjusted it and got it a little clearer sounding but still, it sounds weak compared to the Duncan Distortions in my LP and SG.

You'll really love / hate me for this... When I got it GC had a 20% off going on this past weekend. Walked out the door with it for about $425. Then yesterday I was looking up some cases for it on ebay and found a store on there selling them for $379. I took a patient to the cath lab right after that and while I was up there I swung back by GC to see if they would honor that price match. They did and with the difference I put that towards a Duncan Distortion and only came out of pocket $30. Put it in last night after work and it sounds a million times better.

Whoah this is killer too! Listening now. Update! I'm like 28 minutes in now and this rules really hard. Thanks Conky!

Oh man that is awesome! I've been jonesing for such an axe.

:thumb: Thought you might dig that if you liked Mass and Volume. If you get a chance to check one out I'd definitely play it just for the neck. Pickups leave a little bit to be desired but its so comfortable to play and it sounds great unplugged, really nice, thick, and balanced. It really shows through with the Duncan in the bridge.

Well, I doub't I'll stumble on a deal and have good luck like that for a long time. Especially since my recording computer at home took a shit. I know I should take the guitar back and put that money towards getting a new comp but I can't. Gonna sell off some pedals to fund that.

It's funny how that kind of luck comes in streaks and then just evaporates into thin air. Are you gonna build a PC or a Mac? I've been running a Mac mini for quite a while now as my recording comp and have absolutely ZERO complaints and or issues. Plus their relatively cheap in the scheme of mac's. Just food for thought.

That absolutely my favorite fretboard combo out there hands down. I have a big head stock strat neck from an old telemaster project thats maple with big black block inlays that i really wanna use for something. Unfortunately I got get a couple frets pressed back in there first......

Been thinking about going with a Mac but I don't really have any experience with them other than watching my old bassist recording my past band in his studio. Whatever I end up with I'd like to run this 8 input Firepod preamp into it for recording. I could get the whole band minus vocals to live track the songs in the practice space that way.

And I agree on the big headstock. If this one had one it would be perfect.

If you get a two button mouse not much is really different in the interaction with the comp other than the buttons to mini / max / close are on the opposite side. The difference lies in that you'll have no crashing and minimal driver issues if any at all. ;)

Also Presonus + Mac = recipe for awesomesauce with no issues :thumb:

What DAW do you run?
