It will be an "intimate" set. As in I will be performing from the audience area. :thumb: We'll make it work.

Just remembered what Inspired me to post last night. I got mentioned in the same sentence as TAD?!! :yay: :yay: :success: :success: :yay: :yay:

The modern amps just aren't nearly as loud as the old ones despite the huge wattage numbers. My 100 watt beta lead is as loud as 100 watt tube amps and unlike modern solid state, it actually sounds good when pushed hard. The low end on modern solid state amps is this round, mushy garbage and it's a transformer thing, that big chunk of iron really matters.

this is what i was basically going to say. old solid states were built with the same basis as tubes where. and then they started cheaping and crapping up the parts they used. one was the transformers they started using.

side note finally got some new speakers for my computer that I'll also use for studio monitors. some nice Klipsch. first album I used to try them out to see if they are up to snuff... Gorguts: Obscura

Almost blew my fucking head off as well cause I had the vol up on the media player though my output level on the computer is only set to 30percent basically set for when I use my head phones and I had the speakers on what looks like 3 and well fuck me and the cats had a scare to boot.

I heard some protestors just a few minutes ago walking through my neighborhood which is unusual because it's a pretty small, quiet town (although Oakland which is just across the estuary is pretty hopping right now with protests). I'm not sure if I heard them correctly but I'm pretty sure they were chanting "Black Flag Matters" which I totally agree with. It's good to see the youth of America finally onto some good shit.

Recorded this junk today in less than an hour, first time I've really gotten to play any guitar in like a month let alone actually record something...

https://necrosyrtes.bandcamp.com/album/necrosyrtes-i

FFO Mastadon and Sunn O))) rip offs. Recorded using a Tiny Terror into a 1x10, a Verellen into a 2x12, an IPhone mic, and plenty of mastering to doctor it up.

Actually sounds pretty damn good since I didn't expect it to sound so full due to the iphone mic. wish there were some drums to smash the rhythm home.

Thanks dude! I'm definitely going to experiment around with the next recording when I get around to it. Hopefully then I can actually mic up cabs at that point and not have all of my stuff packed up
