I think I've said it in interviews before, but I don't feel like the attention of the mainstream press is any more or less validating than accolades from the underground. I do find it interesting that mainstream press like Rolling Stone and NPR are paying attention to this kind of music. Having known Mike and the various incarnations of Yob since the beginning, it's strange to see them receive the accolades that they're currently getting. It's well deserved. I'm sure it's strange for anyone into this stuff that we're all into. I know how strange it is for Mike. I don't mean to sound ungrateful or facetious. A lot of bands put out records this last year and frankly, a lot of bands worked a lot harder than Indian did this last year. I've been listening to underground music since 1990. Never had a Rolling Stone subscription. Never really read any of it except for Hunter S. Thompson's stuff from the '70s. I understand how big they are but they've just never been on my radar. It's been a strange few years recently for this stuff we all do.
It's like that NY Times article about Boris and Sunn from a few years back, only, you know, more music related.
But yeah, Springsteen support incoming, right? Or are you guys gonna tour with U2 instead?

BUT!!! My 3 piece VEGA, is playing at the inferno tonight for Droids Attack's Destroy All Christmas X. You should stop down. Its gonna be a merry riffmas after all.
Fuck!!! I'll see if drummer dude can give me a lift. Hopefully he doesn't work tonight... What time do you play?

Yeah no worries man. Someone pointed it out on my Facebook feed. Just thought it was worth giving some congratulations considering you're an ILF post away.
I can't imagine any of us have rolling stone waiting in the mail on a monthly basis.
Posted this in the new music thread but thought a few of you might dig this… Just a side project I'm doing on my own. Documenting a journey of internal discovery.
