Stolen gear, stolen cars, and sick kitty cats? WTF is going on?

That sucks. My buddy got his car stolen up here in the springs not too long ago. Was warming it up to head to work at 5am on a cold day and the guy jumped in and road off. Good luck man.

Oh Joe, that sucks so hard. I hope it's found in a ditch on fire so it's a total loss.
we had the work van stolen while we were on thanksgiving vacation year before last, they recovered it and it was all fucked up... idiot company kept it and repaired it instead of replacing it. it was a 9 year old van and they dumped another 6k into it and it's still not running right.. they are now like... oh I guess that was a bad idea... yea fuckheads no shit.

Some things in music are obviously inspired. There is a famous interview with Ozzy in which he talks about how Black Sabbath’s sound evolved in the early days: “We were just a blues band and then it took on an ELEMENT OF DOOM…”
So, In the spirit of that early pioneering of heavy metal, we have created the EOD88. With 3 gain modes, KT88 power design and a built in fuzz circuit, this amp personifies old school but within a fresh modern approach and appeal.
DOOM amp, all tube all tube 12AX7/KT88 with 3 switchable gain modes, built in fuzz circuit, discrete class A instrument level loop, footswitch included-Limited Edition RED covering.
The entire face of that thing is awful, but that can be remedied with some paint or vinyl or something. What can't is those two stacked knobs which really bothers my need for symmetry and all that. Other than dickish complaints like that, I'm pretty intrigued to see how it sounds.
Randall seems to be making some big moves with Fortin on board.
BoatRich wrote:If this is a Klipp variant I'm really interested. Does anyone here use a colorsound one knob fuzz style pedal for doomy stuff? I picked one up for super cheap the other day and haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
I have Ritual - it brings the fucking thunder.
D-Day wrote:I was going to wait on the actual circuit board but since the amp is now paid for I moved it up in the queue by telling him that a modified Avenger board would be fine. I've played five different ones and they all had the same modified Avenger board and the new board will be no different electrically speaking. I may have it by the end of next week![]()

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
So this happened today.

Haven't had a ton of time with it, but so far I'm pretty sure it's going to stay and the Whetstone is going to be finding a new home. The Orbiter can cop very similar tones as the Whetstone and can get as slow as I'd need a phaser to go. Plus it can get kinda vibe-ish and wobble with the rate and depth up a bit. The thing I like the most is that it allows more low end through and the way you can kind of tailor the phase to your tone with the sweep knob.
I haven't even touched the vibrato mode yet, but that's just gravy anyways. I will give them another run through tomorrow and make a final choice.

Man, there is a lot that I had to catch up on in here. Too much for a multiquote but I'll just say this:
Mojo sent Christian. Hate to hear that about sweet kitties.
Mojo sent to Joe. I hope whoever stole your car ends up with a massive case of wicked shit cramps during the most undesired moment.
Fuck yeah new amp for D!!! Can't wait to see it.
That Randall. I'm curious to hear how it sounds, but its packed up in a bigass box of nope.
Mmmm, me jelly.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Also, I got some exciting news today. Details are still being worked out but we're doing a split with Shroud Eater. Goddamn I can't wait. To be able to put out their record is one thing, but to be asked to do a split with them is blowing my mind. Stoked to be on a record with one of my favorite bands. Anyone catch the Midnite Collective comp they were just on? The song they have on it is the last one they recorded with their old drummer. Fucking crushing. The Cough song is pretty fucking heavy too.

Nah, sucks because he was solid and I would have loved to see him bash the skins live. I missed them when they came up to that Eyehategod fiasco in Savannah because of work. I saw a video of the new guy though and he is a fucking beast. A little more technical that Felipe, but I'm sure he'll doom it the fuck out. Pumped to hear their new stuff. They just recorded two songs that will be out soon I believe.
