Does "Shawn of the Dead" count? I mean, that movie kicks major amounts of ass while making fun of zombie films.

If it doesn't then I'd say "Psycho," 'cause you can't go wrong with the classics.

Orgy of the Dead

Ed Wood rules, although he was only the writer of this movie (directed by Stephen Apostolof). BTW, it's a terrible movie... and yet, awesome! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

DO WANT!!!

Only problem is that I'm a horrible wuss when it comes to horror movies. Seriously. Can't watch 99% of 'em.

So this isn't ENTIRELY a horror movie, but I'm gonna go with the original Alien.

Lot's of sci-fi trappings, of course, but plenty of suspense, and the alien never got scarier than when it when it was solo on the Nostromo.

I consider the original Alien movie to be one of the absolute best horror movies ever made! It's a perfect example of a super badass horror! Same with Aliens, totally awesome space horror. I say if a movie has a monster and that monster kills humans then that movie is a horror.

Anything goes in here though, I love horror-comedies too and it's not like anybody's gonna get kicked out of the draw cause of their movie choice. I don't think it's considered a horror movie but I thought Pan's Labyrinth was really scary. Same with Howard the Duck, friggin scary movie.

Waveform, which version of Duel did you mean? I see on IMDB there's more than one possible contender, just curious what one you like.

Awesome movies so far, guys! I'm gonna watch all the ones I've never heard of for sure.

The Exorcist scared me to death for weeks when I was a kid.. I wasn't supposed to watch it and I did and my parents were right.

I LOVED Howard The Duck. When the posessed Dr. Jenning grew the crazy alien tongue and stuck it in the tractor trailer cigarette lighter, my young brain 'sploded. Classic.

One more suggestion for everyone: "Manos, Hands of Fate." It's so bad, it's scary.

I just saw The House of the Devil last night and holy shit, what an awesome movie. It was done last year but is a throwback to classic 80s horror flics and it is done so well. I'd definitely check it out if you get the chance...I was so on edge the entire time haha
