I can't get a good night's sleep and my insurance is dicking me around about these new sleep meds.

What're you using? Weed is definitely the best in my opinion but I've used 50mg Trazadone in combination with 5mg of Melatonin and that worked well as long as you gave yourself 10 hours before you had to get up.

Right now I'm just using melatonin, but that gives me crappy stressed out dreams and I wake up after like four hours feeling exhausted.

Ambien makes me sleepwalk and my new doc doesn't want to prescribe me benzos even though they've worked in the past, so he prescribed rozerum (sp?) But my insurance in being poopybutts about getting it and the pharmacy has been trying to contact the doc since the week before last. just more support of my opinion that insurance companies are really just a leach on society.

And I poop too much which makes it hard to adhere to my work schedule.

It's a good thing I'm really too tired to be really grumpy. And I have a date with a qt girl tomorrow, so I have that to look forward to.

These have gotten rid of my shoulder issues in no time, and I do gymnastic strength training, so my shoulders take a beating. Use a broom stick, or if you have access to a weight bar, use it, but without the weights. Once you can do them with your hands just slightly wider than shoulder width, then you can, if you want, add a small amount of weight at a time to it, like 5 pounds. Do like two to three sets of 10. If you can't do these without bending your elbows, then widen your grip. You might need a really long stick at first.

Been doing those on your advice, and they're certainly not making things worse. My wife also talked me into trying a yoga class. We'll see how that goes. Some flexibility/range-of-motion work hopefully keeps me from a completely creaky, wizened old husk of a guy.

Dude stretching/yoga is the best. I kick the shit out of myself every winter and it's basically the only thing that keeps me walking without being a wizened young husk.

I gotta give this a shot too, is there anything for knee pain other than the basic leg stretches? I stand all day and everything I'm working with is too low.

Look for some stretches. I'll try and find some good ones when I'm not about to pass out..... Also strengthening exercises. Does it hurt all the time, just when you're crouching or otherwise bending your knees, or does it hurt to the touch?

I just found out that Jucifer is playing a really cool DIY venue here, and I don't think I can go because I have to be to work at 6AM the next day. Granted, that day is Halloween and I'm seeing a really awesome band that night. But I don't think I have it in me to sleep deprive myself two nights in a row.

Yeah, strengthening exercises. Leg raises, squats, chair lunges. hamstring/quad stretching does wonders, too.

Mild irritation, because why get so uptight about it? But: Wtf is up with people who text you a question, then you respond, following with your own question, and then silence back from them for hours and hours? I know this discussion was had not long ago and it somehow maybe involved jfrey sending a text and then jumping out of the window onto a moving truck or something.... :poke:

so, two days ago my starter went out in my truck. it was under warranty so i took it in. it tested bad so they gave me another one. i put it in and the truck kinda works but seems weird starting still. then yesterday it won't start again. the battery seems like it's dead and not holding any charge. so i pull the battery and go back to a different store where i bought it from. they give me a warranty replacement for it and i go out and put it in my truck. fucking thing still won't start. i'm stuck in the god damn parking lot forever trying to chase down the problem. tracing wires and shit and pulling my hair out. finally some old dude helps me push start it. i can't figure the shit out so i drive it to a mechanic. whatever's wrong seems to be over my head. they call me this morning to let me know both the starter and the battery are bad. what the fuck? different parts from different stores both bad out of the box. who the fuck has this kind of luck? now i've got to take the bus to get my truck, push start it at the mechanic's, pay them for the diagnostic, drive it home. take out the starter and get warranty replacements for both and reinstall the shit. and i've missed a bunch of work because of this bullshit.

my truck was almost 30 years old. i still miss it terribly...the other day i went to put on the emergency brake by raising my left leg way off the floor as if to get the parking brake on the truck. why is it that the things you like are the only things that change?

I hate when a "believer" or "living for Jesus my lord" person or worse one of those fake gear accounts actually trying to convert people to their faith follows me on Instagram.
Why do some people need to mention this in an Instagram profile? Since when being a bigot is something to be proud of? Just leave your phone alone and start taking care of those in need. Unless you accumulate money to make your god proud and you didn't understood one bit of your sacred book and you probably haven't read it. /rant

Just remembered that This Will Destroy You is playing in Boston tonight, and I have to stay late at work and won't be able to make it there in time.

Disarm D'arcy I need some good French swears.
