I thought it might be fun to travel solo and meet new people but honestly so far backpackers are some of the most inconsiderate, unfriendly people I've ever met. The amount of trivial shit people can find to complain about at a 1 star hotel whilst still ruining other peoples experience by being excessively loud and irritating when people are sleeping in close quarters is totally beyond me.

Some fucking thundercunt decided to jump in and shoot up the school library I'm usually in. I was lucky that the Computer crime department was gone for a Criminology conference so I had no reason to our be there like I usually am. Sigh, fucked up shit.

Holy shit. I'd be traumatized.

I'm glad you're good. Sometimes the randomness of life works in your favor. I hope people who were there will be okay too. :(

Oh man, eating corn and cheese in the same day is horrible. Why did I do it twice this week?

Sent a DBA Echo Dream 2 to jskadiang like a month ago. When I tracked it today, it's back in Oslo. :picard:

So I'm going to have to send it again/give him back his money AND pay for the shipping back from Singapore or however far it got.

Feeling very neurotic, slightly paranoid, anxious, and moody today. I guess the calm had to end sometime.

I have a huge cut across my left hand's middle finger, effectively stopping me from playing guitar for the time being. :|

My band didn't get really anybody to come out to the bar we just played at (except my sister and guitarist's parents) and effectively got cut off before our second set because we were basically just playing to the bar staff.

I'm not really disappointed. We played well, and I still made $40 off the gig. Also, we've been playing together (like from the practice get-go) since like July. It definitely could've been better...but I didn't really have my hopes up. :idk:

People really enjoy our music and every song we write is better than the last. Things are going well; we just can't compete with the sorts of bands that have been playing for 2-3+ years business-wise. Frankly, we need to play more in Riverwest which is a neighborhood that is less business driven as opposed to the place we were at which is kind of in a weird spot downtown.

I hope you still gave it all you got. I believe a truly awesome quality band will perform the exact same way, whether they are playing to 2 people in some shitty dive or 20000 people in a stadium.
