guitars....

Post by robert(original) »

i wanted to put out a feeler for what kinda guitars/basses/baritones/whatever you all play.
/me personally, i have two favs.
my tele i built myself a few years ago.
Image
and my 96 j.s.
Image
along with about 5-7 jaguars(servicemens, japs, american etc)
i ask this in this forum to try and gather some realistic ideas on what people are playing these days, and what they like to see. I.E. simple and plain like a tele, or crazy supid like a guitorgan.
and please, no one mention FUCKIN JOYSTICKS in this thread.

For guitars, my main guys are an Epi Dot and an Epi SG. For bass, I have a Carvin LB-75 and an ESP Viper (SG bass). I'm a big 'bucker guy (rare for this place)

For guitars, I play a Bronco strung up with piccolo strings... I lust after jags and jazzmasters, though.

For bass, my heart is sworn to my Fender Jazz and Rick 4001. Again, though, I lust after a jag bass.

Essentially, anything jag-y or jazzmaster-y will have my heart forever.

Tele's are nice too, but they just don't grab me in the same way.

If I never see another strat again, it will be too soon.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I play a Fender Jag Baritone Special and a B.C. Rich Warlock

I was planning on getting a Gibson SG this year before I heard about the Dwarfcraft guitars. :joy:

Will there be color/style options?
Note: there are too many red guitars out there. I like blacks and browns (and whites).
:joy: things to do, things to re-do :omg:

American Fender Deluxe Tele, Sunburst with a maple neck. Got the S-1 switching too. But I really cream over a jazzmaster with a matching headstock.

Matching headstocks are so win.
well i guess, but i just don't know.

Right now I have an 81 Electra Phoenix
Looks like this guy but with 3 Single Coils
Image

I need a new pick guard though (actually posted about that when the DC guitars thing first popped up)

My main guitar right now is A 08 Classic Player Jag.
Image

What I'd look for in another guitar is something heavier with a Jazzmaster style brige.

Some what like the Eastwood Sidejack Baritone but you know, Somewhat cooler.

Love those old Electras! Great players. I had an Outlaw for a while. You have any fx carts for it? Mine had a fuzz and a phaser in it. So sweet!

Nah it's not one of the on board effects models. one of the best guitars I've ever played though.

sorry devi, altho we have never talked personally ben has talked you up so much that you are in the "duder scooter" club, and only people i respect get put into that club.
since you all have no idea on what the dwarfcraft guitar will be like, i will enlighten you a bit.
there is no "paint scheme" so no blues, blacks, red, whatever. perhaps i will get my buddy eric in chicago to do some painting but i still have to talk to him first.
keep the list comming, i want to know what you people play and what you want from an intrument(no joysticks) tell me yours fears and your joys
