Yeah, our label is one of those asshole labels that don't throw in a download card. So we make sure whatever we sell we include them.D.o.S. wrote:Relatedly, my Glorious Rebellion 7" and shirt just showed up today with a cut out download code.
Also, Conky, where'd you get that single done? I'm about to put out a split with another ILFer (boring shit I'm sure SLK will say so) and we're looking at pressing a 7" right now. I might PM you with some questions if that's cool?

I always love listening to vinyl at home, but want to listen to music in the car as well without spending more. With that being said our vinyl is coming with digital download cards in them. Also if you pre order you will get an instant download of the whole album.
Pre orders are available now at http://www.worshipcult.bandcamp.com
Also I know a lot of you will love our new shirt. For some reason I can't post the image so http://www.worshipcult.bigcartel.com if you want to check it out or maybe I can get Tony to post it.

1. Wish I had a guitar with old brass on it like those old Ibanez LP copies.
2. Quick shout out to PGS. Had a problem with an ISO5 power supply I bought off them and they shipped me a new one no questions asked. And they sprung for some quicker shipping too. Nice to be taken care of if you have an issue.

That SG is some poon.
Christian, you guys know where it's at with drop cards.
It's tedious as shit, but I used to hand write every one.
I was not aware Drop cards was a brand, I thought it was just a name for a thing that is convenient.
Colour me enlightened.
Also, help me out. I shouldn't but am considering the LaoWiz/Skully team amaze balls Black Acid that's up in BST (Sergio's).
Trepidations are: I kinda feel the need to play Zozobra fast at the moment, are these variety of fuzz faces tight/articulate enough for that? I know the Fuzz Throne Nick made for John from Conan keeps up when they get thrashy (for Conan), but will it just turn to slop if I engage dem speeds?
I was also thinking pairing it up with my BForest may help this. Am I mistaken, friends?

Sludge is supposed to be messy.
Running my treble booster seems to give my note more punch and clarity, so I'd think stacking with the black forest would probably work similar, although I'm not using a fuzz face, or even "real" fuzz for that matter.

Sorry I should have been clearer. Mess is fine, I like it rough around the edges, but some note clarity and bite would also be nice.
In other words, not a big wall of undefinable frequency whenever I play.
Treble boosters are getting a big talk up by you guys lately, I'm temped to try one as well.
But if my BF will yield similar results I'm definitely happy not to drop anymore cash.

Also I ran the Ape Blaster into the Colorsound and got some nice in a fucked up kind of way sounds. Ape level at 9 o clock and guitar volume at about 1/2 way. Set your BF to taste. Crazy oscillation with some nice hair on top.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
As I hear it, the BF has a powerful ass EQ... I wouldn't spring for a dedicated treble booster unless it you can't seem to cop any harsh ass sounds from it. PS, I run mine after my other dirt, it's pretty loud and gives a bit of a lofi filtering effect that I really like. Makes for a really clear and clanky overdrive sound since I'm running my amps pretty clean now.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Yeah, to be honest it works great on its own, as a predirt pusher and as a shaper/amp blower-upperer. I wouldn't really bother with a treble booster outside of the excuse to get a Sabbra Cadabra.
I'm also running as clean as I can, and the amount of gain the BF gives off is defnitely enough without going over the top into that unclear mess territory.
And it cleans right up for tone shaping/fattening other pedals, which would probably be what I'd do. Just leave it always on. Smash it with other rad dirt.
Which, I suppose, is really my question: is the Black Acid the rad dirt I am looking for?

But also:

because I just want to buy another dirt pedal and for some reason need to justify that.
I am attempting to be a responsible adult?

no, you're being dumb. Lao and scully made it?
I mean, if i had money you wouldn't have to worry about it.

I mean, if i had money you wouldn't have to worry about it.
treble boost in front has been what i use for fast lately. not so much for boost, just definition, slower parts don't need it so some extra girth is nice. I try to use it subtly but you can hear it all over this one song we do so here it is from tonight's jam with the 12 string highlighted. Apologies for the drunken slop playing.HeavyXIII wrote:Sludge is supposed to be messy.Running my treble booster seems to give my note more punch and clarity, so I'd think stacking with the black forest would probably work similar, although I'm not using a fuzz face, or even "real" fuzz for that matter.

Yeah, Lao-skullz collab.
I just went and listened to some Slomatics and Conan. I am being dumb.
I should just nab this fucking pedal and stop being such an economic girlie-man already.

But I'll hold off until the end of the week, if its still there and I can afford it, I'll do it.
It'll be a birthday present to me anyway.
Also, your drunk playting is better than my sober playing.
I need to practice more.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Fuzz Faces tend to have alot more crunch and clarity than say a muff which is more of a disappearing act in a band situation quite often. You should have no issue playing faster stuff with it. The black forest should pair well with it as well, fuzz faces tend to like being boosted IME.Iommic Pope wrote:Also, help me out. They just hate active pickups and certain buffers -- at least the el-classico circuits do. That's why you see them first in the chain so often.
