Well, I forgot to get a real picture of the system, but I put together a patch using allllll the cables, and it's an infinitely changing noise machine.

Other people with drone pedals:
What do you do live? Do you just scatter stuff on a table or do you have a pedal board style set up? I'm thinking of getting a bigger rondo music board and mounting my maximal drone, a feedback looper, some pedals, and my mixer/a small matrix mixer to it to have a portable and powered set up. Normally I just bring a folding table and scatter things where they feel most comfortable though.

When ive done live stuff I just use the table method. Not the best but ive only dne a handful of sets.

I stick my drone pedals / boxes on my pedal board and then put it on a table. Kinda like a spaceship control panel. The only pedals that have designated places on my board are delays, modulation and reverb and then I swap out drones, chaos and dirt.

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
i made a lil briefcase w/ a board and velcro on the bottom and some foam on the top.
i gotta say, we played a house show a lil while ago and there wasn't an easily accessible table, and i didn't want to be a pain , so i just setup on the floor and it was the best

The floor/table with a pedalboard as the "control center" seems like the way to go then. I can't stand the clutter that comes with a tabletop only set up.

House shows are the best! Always some shady happenings too.
I did the suitcase thing for a while too. I retrofitted like suitcases with carpet covered plywood inside with holes for routing. Put some solid, leveling feet on the bottom. It was nice but the suitcase just didn't last (I should have epoxied or put metal strips to reinforce the insides).
My new shop will be finished next week and it will be setup for cabinet making. Just picked up a bunch of mohangany and I've been toying with doing some steam bending to make a new tabletop synth case with fold-out scissor legs. I picked up a mackie mixer finally....yay, some pics someday.

I also used to just set a cheap SKB pedal board on a keyboard stand. Wasn't too stable (the same stand smashed 3 keys on my poly800 in a minor earthquake). I'd imagine a suitcase with two mic stands threaded in would be pretty good (the three legged mic stands). I guess it depends on the venue/person/how "in stone" the setup is/money invested. I've seen some people just scatter pedals everywhere, setup on tabletop, have presetup stands, or even rack mount boxes with the slider drawers. Personally, my goal as a band was to setup or tear down in under 10min (and everyone hated me for it). I would have my guitar and noise rig up and ready with the sovtek warming up in under 3 minutes most of the time which I guess is why I had to have everything preset and plug/play (it was also great for when we broke up on stage and just about got into a fist fight, I was out of the door and gone in under 4 minutes). It always irked me when bands took 45+min (or even over an hour and a half) to move around a tom or plug in each and every pedal.
The more I think about it, the more it should be self-contained in case a bunch of skinheads or straight-edge kids come at you with chains or something. Unless they're restless hipsters...just bring a cowboy hat.

Ahh, the ol' MS-1. Painfully limited and yet still somehow awesome at the same time...

Yeah super limited but that's the fun of it, and having almost no features means its super easy to wrap your head around. Can't beat it for $20, Even came with psu and memory card!

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
My synth stuff!

Not featuring my Rucci Minimal Drone, and my midi keyboard. Planning to do some mods to these. The SK-5 I want to mod for standard 1/4 jacks, since I find the adapter thingies to be quite unstable and I lose them all the time. And I want to rehouse the monotron and do all the available hacks, maybe add a oscillator or something. It depends on whatever enclosure I find for it. I also really want some kind of sequencer/groovebox thing, like a rm1x, rs7k or an MC-303 or something. I don't now much about synths but I like to drone out in them whenever I can

Love those SK's, though. Hope to have one, one day.
