Thanks, dude. :) I seldomly travel to the same country twice, but Japan has a lot to offer, and it felt like I only scratched the surface last time. Shouldn't be too hard to get there from 'stralia, no?

Ah, right. Well, if you got a hold of him, you could probably carve a makeshift canoe out of jwars boner.

Nice! How long are you staying and where are you going?

I have to talk to my cousin to see if I can stay with his wife's family for a couple weeks while I fuck off across the entire country.

Last time I was in Tokyo and up in Hakone near Mt. Fuji, this time I'm going to Kyoto and probably going on day trips to Nara, Osaka, Nagoya and maybe Hiroshima. And spending some time in Tokyo again. I'll stay until may 4th (incidentally my birthday), so two and a half weeks. Yeah.

Sweet if you've got people to stay with. I wouldn't try to see it all at once unless I had several months. A lot of cool stuff spread around.

many reasons to be happy and thankful!

1. my girlfriend is launching her new business and i get to help be a part of it.
2. my band and i are getting ready to record our next ep.
3. haven't had any serious symptoms from my surgery last year (brain surgery is wild y'all)
4. even with everything that happened in my relationship last year (dumb shit i did to my girlfriend) we're still together, we're working through it and things have been WAY better.
5. the last few months have been awesome for my issues with anxiety and worry. i haven't had an anxiety attack or worried about the little insignificant things that i used to.
6. my friends have been super supportive of my efforts to stop being so anxious and my being 100% honest with my girlfriend (what caused dumb shit last year) with everyone. I used to be honest to a fault, messed that up and now i'm back on track.

Payday!

3/4 of it is going to overdue bills and stuff, but it leaves plenty of drinking money. Of course, not having bills over one's head is comforting as well.

So I just posted a bunch of stuff on the hate thread, so I figured I should balance it out with some good.

3 days without a cigarette.
2 days till I get my new amp.
And I got a promotion at work tonight. I got promoted to lead server so I'll be making $6/hr plus tips instead of the normal $2.13 plus tips. That's an extra $80 a week. Basically that means I can afford a new pedal every month! :!!!:

Just had tea with the restaurant manager and chef at the hotel I am staying at
cracked out a nice cigar and plunked down at the tea tasting table in the lobby with em
they speak no english but it was fun just to chill smoke and drink very good tea
then I grabbed lunch at the hotel restaurant I think I ate a whole chicken- not sure, head was there but I let that go
first day off in a long time, pretty quiet, and kinda lonely but it's all good
just going to chill in my room till dinner (raining out)
watch some of the movies I brought on my mac (ipman SUPRISE!!!)
and grab some dinner back at the hotel (i started taking pictures of dishes I like so ordering is less hit and miss, although fish soup grew on me the other day)
feeling pretty good today
got all the nasty confrontational parts of the job done last week
lawyer is heading to visit his parents up north
and now I can just focus on training our team
next week at this time I will be flying home
almost at the halfway point
and it feels great

neonblack- congrats on the not smoking, new amps are the best. And the promotion, that is awesome.
