So what I need is an app that is like "ableton live super light." I just want to push a button on screen and have a loop go on looping. Then push another button and play another loop instead. I also want them to be my loops that I have recorded. This is literally every requirement. So far I have NOT found a suitable app. I have Garage band, but maybe I haven't dug deep enough?
I also have Meta DJ which plays loops, but doesnt quite do the "next loop" thing. SAMPLR gets close, but it's like a 3 finger job...
HALP.
I would certainly prefer if it ran on an iPad2 in OS6

Not sure about the requirements but Loopy HD is the app you have been looking for... You have to stop the first loop but if you hit two at a time the one playing will stop and the other one will start, you can have 9 loops playing at any leangth you want... The first one could be a minute and the next one could be 10 seconds but they play in sync so the shorter one would play 6 times to the first ones once... Keezy is kind the same but even simpler...

Yep, does everyhting aen wants, and it's free, but you'll have to pay 5$ for the ability to use your samples. It's an awesome app, if they added a clock sync and some other midi features it would be a great simpler ableton alternative for live use
