Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Anyone have a Decibel subscription? I sent them a record for review and was wondering if one of you guys could see if they posted it in there. I've got a fuckload of new likes to the band / label pages and 8 orders yesterday. Shit just kinda blew up outta nowhere.

finally...further to my previous post...i would also have to sell a guitar to fund that Epi project...so there is that to consider.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Mauler record crates look rad. I bet you'd be able to sell them locally if you wanted to do those in addition to cabs (I say local because you KNOW shipping those things would be a bitch and a half).
Sam - I had one of those Epi silverbursts for a few years. It was a great playing guitar, but everything electronic was garbage, so I ended up selling it to buy pedals. If you truly want a silverburst, that would be one of the most effective ways to get one and have something semi-custom at the same time. I don't know how easily the headstock could be reshaped because it does have binding - not sure how complicated that makes things. Another option would be to hunt down one of the silverburst Stuidos from a few years back, you may be able to do that for the same cost - no binding though.
Conk - lol at the Rickyism, and congrats on the recognition. I don't have a decibel subscription, but it sounds like someone noticed you guys.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
After i wrote my post a black epi custom came up on facebook for sale...original customs with gibson headstock, the guy has rewired it and put burstbuckers in. This is ticking alot of boxes...would just require refinish and replacing gold hardware for chrome...

That seems like a much more viable option. I wish those would pop up over here, but they never really do. Of course, I've got to completely disagree with you on the refinish - black/gold customs are just about perfect.

Which record did you send them/when, Dead Hand? I didn't see anything in my most recent issue but I'll double check.

Yeah, the split. I sent it hoping they'd put it in the Needle Exchange section. My subscription ran out a few issues ago and I never renewed it.

So another Woodson amp has popped up locally, this one is a PA head. Again, just like the Kustoms - are these any good for guitar?

This. In Return > all of their other stuff, IMO.
Skip, I will open the cavity up on the guitar and try that wiring diagram. The Lace diagrams were 100% useless.

Tube wizard is best wizard! All other wizards are number 2 or lower.

Thanks, the only down side is I have to wait 4 or 5 hours to play with it. It's just sitting in front of me at my desk, while I eye fuck it.
