also did a vidja that's primarily NoiseEng stuff. Integra Solum, Clep Diaz, Mimetic Digitalis, BIA and Manis. Pam's for the main clock and reset, some of the Manis through 3 Sissessesessses.

i have such a weird relationship with that thing. it's so damn GOOD. but.... it's ginormous and i don't love the interface enough to dive in and get well versed enough to do all the Neat Things it's capable of.

If the knobs responded to touch to show values like the BSP does the Trigger Riot would still be in my rack. It was so hard for me to keep track of settings without changing knobs.

Those who have used/still use Varigate+Voltage Block, or one of them:

Do you ever have inconsistency when sending it a clock+reset signal? It varies wildly for me. Sometimes it resets, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it resets and starts but freezes for a clock tick or two before starting (and the slave, usually the Voltage Block, will be even further behind).

I'm sending the reset via Intellijel's uMIDI 1U interface, and I'm sending it from Ableton->audio interface->uMIDI 1U. The uMIDI detects the reset perfectly...

I don't understand why this happens, and why it's so inconsistent.

Quick update to this. I threw the Eloquencer back into the rack and it responds to clock and reset perfectly. I'm now selling Voltage Block and Varigate 8+. Will probably replace the Voltage Block with a Mimetic Digitalis once I am able to sell them.

Side note success story: I know a big point of Eurorack is to avoid the computer integration but I have found my ultimate setup for the future. Will no longer need to buy more sequencers (a little sad because sequencers are my favorite part of Eurorack but w/e)...

I finally got Ableton Push 2 to sequence everything with no latency with Live->uMIDI 1U->Yarns, and it's the coolest fucking thing. I'll make a good video tomorrow of it once my camera is charged. Removing Metropolis will free up space for another voice, too.

ILF Prices:

Malekko Varigate 8+ - $430

My Folktek Mescaline should be on its way to Italy soon and I should have a Teletype incoming soon too.
Looking forward to doing more structured stuff with the Teletype...

mmmmmmmmmmmm Metropoliiiissssss. so hawt.

whelp, in half a day have moved enough stuff to cover buying those JBL LSR 305's (trust in the Dusty. TRUST. IN. THE. DUSTY.) and have enough set aside for one Mannequins IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE FOR ORDER.

have an Attenuhator from Buck Modular headed in. Stages needs attenuation, and i like the cascading different scaled outputs of the 'Hator.

also, Upgraded Transient is BOSS. even though they did a STUPID DANGEROUS THING, where the menu ends with Save Instrument then Delete Instrument. which. wipes it from the card. and the menu knob is FIDDLY. doesn't click through. so i had a patch i liked a lot, accidentally killed it instead of saving it. irretrievably.

not a good design.

other than that, new features are COOL.
