probably mxr distortion+ into a roland JC120 head, i think that's what he always used.

Wow I would have never guessed that,I assumed he was using some type of fender plus a dirt pedal.

actually i have been trying to find more info and it's sort of conflicting :idk:
some things say he's running the D+ straight into the board, which is what it SOUNDS like.
his studio/live setup was different.

I've heard from a lot of places that Mould was running straight into the board on that album. Which makes sense considering that it was recorded in something like two days - not a lot of time to spend messing around with tonez, so into the board with you!
