Is this worth trying?

So I have an old squier tele I've been fucking around with. I put a tele neck on it and am about to switch out the pick ups.

I was wondering if anyone could add their two cents about putting a mustang trem onto it. Was gonna put a new trem on or block it until I saw someone post in the show your guitar thread a strat with a mustang trem on it. So how much of a pain in ass would it be?

Also anyone know where I can get a custom pick guard cheap?
I want it to be a lipstick(or tele) in the neck, no middle, and Lipstick(a tele in the bridge) dont really need the middle. and the controls would only be a volume and 1 tone.
