I made this 'prototype' to kick off a short run of the soon-to-be-released Arcane Analog BMP-73s. These Muffs are based off of an amazing sounding 1973 Violet Ram's Head Muff and will feature NOS 2N5133 transistors and more mojo than you can shake a fuzz pedal at. These pedals will be my first run of powdercoated and screened pedals which will look nothing like the prototype. The BMP-73s will be limited to 13 units!
I have had a few folks ask if I will be taking pre-orders on the 2N5133 loaded BMP-73s. Yes I am! These Ram's Head Muffs are going to be in silk screened vintage-styled enclosures. I am not going for exact an replica with this build - I am using a mix of modern and mojo components to provide the best of both worlds. The goal is an excellent sounding 73 Ram's Head using top notch components. There will only be 13 of these built and everyone that pre-orders will not only receive a discounted price they will also receive a free Arcane Analog t-shirt featuring the eagle/transistor logo. Pre-orders will open shortly. If you are really gung-ho for one of these please send me a message for more details.
Here is the enclosure for the BMP-73s. The boxes are extremely close - if not identical - to the original boxes and they include the bottom battery door. These will be a first for me in that they will have professionally silk screened graphics.
This Muff is custom tuned and has alot of the BMP-73 Rams Head with a few aspects of the Triangle and a couple of extra tweaks. This one can rattle the fillings out of your head at fifty paces.
