Blackout Effectors Fix'd Fuzz V2 ???

Post by Nejra Leffor »

Wow :omg: I love this machine! I've been searching for a pedal with a really nice overdrive sound and totally over the edge f*cked up sounds for so long. And now i think i found it :thumb:

Check out this demo vid, yeaah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ab-eP9LiS8

Does anybody here own a Blackout Effectors Fix'd Fuzz V2?

What are your thoughts on this pedal?

Any other great super versatile overdrives out there?

:whoa:

I'd love one if the stages were footswitchable.

I owned one for a while.
It was made to do several things in a small space (for cramped pedalboards), and it's great by those standards.

The modes are all on toggles, so it's not easy to switch on the fly--switching modes can cause some volume changes, which make it a bit difficult to switch on the fly.

So for home-playing, studio-playing, it works well, but it's not a quick-switcher.

I also thought the boost mode was one of the best boosts I've heard (added a bit more noise than I'd hoped, but just very sweet sounding)...also, the boxy fuzz and fuzz-with-boost was great! Some of the other combos had too much noise for me (but not for most of you guys! :p  ).

BUT--for doing a lot of different things and fitting it all in a small box, it's pretty impressive. And the internals are really nice.

given this feedback it would be cool to have a second switch that rotates through each of the toggle settings, maybe adding a resistor to each setting to balance out the volume (me, acting as if I know how to make fx).
