I’m kind of hoping the Chase Bliss Mystery Box sells out before I give in. February delivery for new orders last I looked dampens it a bit. Bonus EAE and MAE pedals does not.

I was on the verge of using a now-expired 20%-off code for an H90 Dark at GC. Never expected my Satan to spring for that. Just trying to push outlays into the new year since the holidays are expensive. Hope the Dark isn’t really “limited” in any meaningful sense.

I'm on the waiting list for a big old reggae-style preamp which will be pretty melons-y and just got stompbox built & delivered to do something similar with instrument-level signals, so pedge for the near future is fine with me - the rest of the upcoming purchases are all going to be boringly practical (synth flight case, pedal boards, etc).

i'm chewing the inside of my cheek out trying not to buy the Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe. it's $270 with the Fender sign-up discount, but i don't have it till i get paid, i'm already in too deep with Affirm regarding the last batch of purchases to stick another one on, and i still have to deal with Christmas shopping which got left off because my GF was in the hospital last weekend. and i'm not entirely certain it suits me. it seems like it may be more aggressive than i am. of course, the only way to tell would be to play one, and the only way to play one is to order it. if the urge doesn't wear off like e.g. my interest in the MXR Layers i guess i'll figure something out after i pay the rent and see where i'm at.

counterpoint: if Trump's tariffs go into immediate effect after 1/20 gear prices will skyrocket. a lot lot of modern big-brand stuff is made in China, Fender builds in Mexico, and there's a lot of stuff coming in from Canada now. i would buy everything the fuck i could now--that's why i just spent an inordinate amount on power supplies for everything--before it goes up 20-50%
