I'd say the same about the Rocktron Zombie. From descriptions, it's all 'SUPERMETAL!!!!', but it's actually a better boost for metal pedals that need a little more oomph or adding that Master of Puppets low end to standard tuned guitar.
Same for the Coffin Case Blood Drive. Great MXR-designed overdrive inside that cute pedal box.
i think i'll also pimp North Effects. he makes really faithful and functional clones of classic fuzzes, distortions, and tremolos for about the same price as a Boss, more or less. and the dude REALLY knows his effects history.
